Guide for (future) parents and managers
This guide is intended for all members of the Unil community, particularly those with family responsibilities or parenthood plans, as well as their managers, and is designed to help them balance their studies, family and work.
This document has been designed as a practical tool to specifically address the many questions relating to employment or studies when becoming a parent or when someone a team member is about to become one. It covers various human resources and legal aspects, such as the impact of family-related leave on employment contracts, rights relating to maternity leave and breastfeeding, and study conditions during parenthood. Information on financial support for families and childcare solutions is also provided. A section specifically for managers completes this guide. It offers practical advice and concrete ideas to optimally manage situations related to (future) family responsibilities of staff.
