
Sociologist of work and the family, my research expertise lies in the field of gender inequalities at the work-family interface. I hold a PhD in Sociology by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and was previously a Junior Lecturer at the Institute of Social Sciences and LIVES Centre, University of Lausanne before joining the University of Neuchâtel as Assistant Professor.
I am currently co-editor of the Swiss Journal of Sociology and of the Springer Book Series « Life Course Research and Social Policies », and Associate Editor of « Journal of Family Studies »
My research areas include:
- The effects of contemporary transformations in labour markets and economic crises on gender inequalities in employment and the household
- The intersections between gender and class dynamics
- The (re)production of gender inequalities within organisations
- Family dynamics and transitions, family diversity
- The temporal embeddedness of human agency within a life course perspective
- Empirical research methods, including mixed methods research designs and qualitative longitudinal research
