This interdisciplinary module offers an in-depth exploration the role of sex and gender in health, disease, and medical practice. It examines gender-related health disparities, biases in healthcare, and the implications of personalized medicine. Students will critically engage with contemporary topics such as gender-inclusive healthcare, biomedical research equity, and technological advancements in FemTech. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and research-based learning, this course aims to equip students with a nuanced understanding of how gender and sex influence medical treatment, policy, and public health.
