Roundtable organised by the Law and Society Initiative of the University of Lausanne (IDES) on the theme: "SOGIESC and the State of LGBTI Law".
The event will take place on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the University of Lausanne (Room 2, IDHEAP Building) and online.
Our speakers, Andreas Ziegler (Professor of International Law, University of Lausanne) and Tomás Ojeda (Senior Researcher in Gender Studies, University of Lausanne), will discuss recent progress, remaining gaps, and forward-looking approaches to strengthening efforts to address the challenges faced by LGBTI people.
This roundtable will be dedicated to the presentation of their latest books:
- The Oxford Handbook of LGBTI Law (co-edited by Andreas Ziegler)
- Transnational Anti-Gender Politics. Feminist Solidarity in Times of Global Attacks (co-edited by Tomás Ojeda)
The books will be discussed by Charlène Calderaro (Researcher in Gender Studies, University of Lausanne) and Kwaku Adomako (also a Researcher in Gender Studies, University of Lausanne).
