CyMe Survey Swiss Gender Medicine Symposium 2025

CyMe is an open and extensible approach to women’s health that aims to close parts of the women’s health gap by making female-specific, cycle-related data easier to collect, contextualize, and use responsibly for research and patient-centred care.

This is our second-round survey. We first circulated a smaller pilot, gathered and implemented all feedback, and refined the questionnaire accordingly (clearer items, broader scope beyond analytics). In parallel, four of our six submissions to the Swiss Gender Medicine Symposium (20–21 Oct, Bern) were accepted, which further reinforced our focus on actionable research needs.

What the updated survey covers (30 questions, 7 sections):

  1. Demographics
  2. Female Health Gap (perceptions & priorities)
  3. Female Health Data Categories (required data points, contexts of use)
  4. Data Analysis (methods you use/need)
  5. Ethical & Privacy Considerations (GDPR-aligned expectations)
  6. Impact on awareness & influence on future work
  7. Self-assessment of response quality
