Transnational Feminism(s). Current Debates

The course is devoted to current debates in transnational feminism with a special focus on Middle Eastern perspectives. Based on selected core readings from the field, it provides an introduction to the challenges for de:postcolonial feminist conversations and collaborations in a globalized world. The course iThenvites to reflect on how feminist knowledge is produced and circulates or "travels" under conditions of globalized relations of inequality. A major focus will be to explore critical tools of analysis drawing on transcultural approaches from feminist theory as well as from gender and diversity studies.
