Isabelle Fehlmann

Isabelle Fehlmann received degrees in both Art and Architectural History as well as Geography, with an emphasis on alpine architecture in Switzerland, from the University of Zurich. She also studied at the EPHE and Sorbonne in Paris. After her studies, Isabelle Fehlmann worked as research associate and assistant curator, first at the Kunstmuseum Thurgau and then at the Kunstmuseum Bern. Since 2015, she works as research associate in the TheoryLab at the Chair of Prof. Christophe Girot, where her research and teaching focus on the intersection of landscape architecture and infrastructure. She is currently writing her doctoral thesis on the role and value of the alpine landscape in the design of the Swiss mountain roads during motorization.
