Petra Bleisch Bouzar

Petra Bleisch is a scholar of Didactics of the Study of Religions, Religious Studies and Islamic Studies. Since August 2025, she has been Titular Professor of Didactics at the University of Fribourg. Previously, she served as Professor of Subject Didactics in Science and Social Studies with a focus on Ethics and Religious Education at the University of Teacher Education Fribourg, where she also headed the research unit "Didactics of Ethics and Religious Education." Her publications address subject specific didactics, philosophy and ethics education, narratological approaches in the study of religion, Muslim women in Switzerland, and Islamic law.
