CONNECT encourages women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to plan and develop their career. It aims to inspire all involved people to bridge the gap between academia, industry and public sector.
CONNECT aims at linking young female researchers in the STEM fields with role models working in industry and the public sector, providing unique insights and an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences. Participants engage in 6-7 full-day workshops over about half a year, discussing career paths and opportunities, improving their application documents and strategy, and networking with each other and with role models. CONNECT has brought more than 100 ambitious PhDs and postdocs in contact with representatives from industry and the public sector, and encouraged them to take informed career decisions.
