Objectif

This course will introduce students to mainstream/heterodox and critical approaches to development, analyzing policies in diverse settings and arenas.

Descriptif

The goal will be for students to connect interdisciplinary approaches to development with empirical experiences and to understand conflicting imperatives (modernization of agriculture, gender, poverty, inequality) in a context of global interdependencies, specifically looking at globalization, financial flows and debt, and aid architecture.

The objective of the seminar is to support student understanding of the course.
