Save the Date: The next General Assembly will take place on 7 November 2019 at the University of Bern on the occasion of the prize ceremony of the second Brigitte Schnegg Prize. The members will be invited in summer.
After the General Assembly in 2018, a public panel discussion on "(Feminist) identity politics today - potentials and dilemmas" took place at the University of Bern. Sébastien Chauvin (University of Lausanne), Geneva Moser (University of Basel) and Jovita Pinto dos Santos (University of Bern) discussed the topic, the panel was chaired by Janine Dahinden (University of Neuchâtel). In a nutshell, the discussion of the round table might be summarized as follows: Identity politics is still an important political strategy to tackle discrimination, racism and inequalities – in spite of its ambivalences, tensions and dilemmas.
