Feminist Futures Workshop: Feminist Responses to Anti-Democratic Politics
Across Europe and beyond, feminist actors are at the forefront of resisting anti-gender and anti-democratic movements. What strategies are working? What challenges are emerging? And how can feminist futures be collectively imagined and built?
Join us in Budapest for the first event in the Feminist Futures Workshop Series, bringing together activists, politicians, journalists, researchers, and civil society actors working on the frontlines of democracy and gender equality.
This workshop will combine cutting-edge research from the CCINDLE project (Co-Creating Inclusive Intersectional Democratic Spaces Across Europe, part of the EU’s Horizon Europe program) and other recent global research projects, with real-world experiences from feminist leaders and activists across Europe, creating a space for dialogue, reflection, and shared strategizing.
The program features two roundtables:
- an overview of recent research on feminist responses to anti-gender politics – exploring the challenges feminists face and the approaches they take across different contexts
- a discussion of feminist strategies for resistance – sharing practical experiences of resisting backlash, building solidarity, and sustaining resilience
The event is free and open to the public, with lunch provided, but registration is required.
