The Department of Political and Social Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the area of “Political Theory: democracy, diversity and citizenship” (start period during 2021). Candidates must show their capacity of theorizing political relevant contemporary issues, placing findings in the historical, normative and institutional political theories.
They must have an outstanding research trajectory, including leading book publishers and top journals on Political Science and provide evidence of quality teaching capacity. Teaching duties (around 160 hours per year) may include courses at both undergraduate (in Catalan and/or Spanish) and graduate level (in English). Support for language studies is offered. She or he should also actively contribute to academic research, teaching and service within the Department. The gross salary is 35.596€ per year.
