Psychology of Women & Equalities Section Annual Conference: EQUALITIES

11-13 July 2018, Cumberland Lodge, Windsor

Following a successful name change ballot, the Psychology of Women Section (POWS) has become the Psychology of Women and Equalities Section (POWES). Though our name has changed, our aims and purpose have not. The section will continue to provide a space to support feminist research that is focused on women’s lives. It will continue to offer a collegiate and supportive environment for anyone doing research on gender and sexuality related topics, at any stage of their career. And while we are part of a learned society, we will continue to work with those engaged in activism to challenge inequalities.

To celebrate this excitng time for POWES the 2018 conference theme is Equalities. We would be delighted to consider submissions from a range of areas relevant to the work of POWES including but not limited to:

theorising feminisms, non-binary constructions of gender, identites, masculinities, parenting, sexual violence and exploitation, sexualities, mental health, health, qualitative/critical methodologies, social justice, activism, race, disability, class and intersectionality
