Advice concerning the use of Gender Campus

The Gender Campus Website is technically built on the Microsoft SharePoint 2013 product. A practical feature of SharePoint is its close integration with Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); as a result it is possible to open, work upon and resave Office documents directly from the Gender Campus server. In order to ensure the functioning of this integration, certain conditions must be met, i.e. certain adjustments must be made.

  1. On the login page, select the option "Private Computer".
    This will ensure the installation of a so-called "Cookie", which will “share“ your registration with Office.

  2. If you choose to run Internet Explorer (recommended):
    Add to the list of "Trusted Sites" (Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites; Instructions)

  3. You are required to run a supported browser:
    o Full support
     Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8 and higher
    o Limited support concerning integration of Office and Windows
     most recent version of Mozilla Firefox
     most recent version of Google Chrome
     most recent version of Apple Safari

  4. You are required to run a supported version of Office:
    o Microsoft Office 2013
    o Microsoft Office 2010 with Service Pack 1 or higher
    o Microsoft Office 2007 with Service Pack 2 or higher
    o Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 with Service Pack 1 or higher
