The Gender Health Research Network

The Swiss Federal Office of Public Health Agency initiated the Gender Health Research Network in 2003. It is a national forum seeking to promote intersectoral and interdisciplinary research cooperation. The Gender Health Research Network is an open alliance of researchers, lecturers and professors in health sciences.

The aim of the Gender Health Research Network is to promote and enhance research on gender health in Switzerland. It furthers the exchange of know-how and competence between researchers and therefore strengthens the research pole on gender health in Switzerland. It provides a structure which supports the cooperation and coordination between researchers. Meetings for the members of the network take place twice a year. The transfer of knowledge and the exchange of experiences between the members of the network are aslo guaranteed by a national conference hold every two years.
