Gender and Development: Projects of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies at the University of Bern
Promoting dialogue between research and professional practice
The Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies of the University of Bern (IZFG) has, these past years, enhanced its focus on the development field. In particular, it analyzed subjects such as governance, sustainable development, human rights and globalization under the gender lense. The Centre also studied feminist movements in a transnational and transcultural perspective. Moreover, the IZFG regularly organizes public events around the Gender and Development theme.
