This is an important new history of the lives of unmarried men and women in mid-twentieth century England. The event will be introduced by Professors Leonore Davidoff and June Hannam. Katherine is greatly looking forward to reading from her book and discussing it with you over a glass of wine. The author is a research fellow at the University of the West of England and convenor of the UK Women’s History Network. Her recent contribution to a Woman’s Hour discussion on single women after the First World War can be accessed through the following link:
